Ozark Walk and Talk is a social event held on the last Thursday of every month in downtown Ozark.
Walkers are paired with strangers or acquaintances they don’t know well, and walk along a one mile route through downtown Ozark. Conversation starters are spread along the route to help break the ice.
At the halfway point, walkers swap to a different partner.
Our first Ozark Walk and Talk will be held Thursday, June 25th.
The Route
The walking route begins at Loose Brick Coffee. From there, it heads west along Reynolds Street before turning south along Painter Avenue.
The route turns east at College Street and passes in front of Ozark Baptist Church before crossing South Union and turning north.
From there, it continues north past Sherwin Williams and Blue Agave Mexican Restaurant to the Ozark Amphitheater. This is the halfway point of the route, where walkers will swap partners.
After swapping partners, walkers continue east along Reynolds Street before turning north onto Southeast Ave. The route continues north past 3 Scoops Ice Cream and First United Methodist Church and follows the curve along East Avenue past the Ozark Farmer’s Market.
From there it turns south back onto South Union Avenue past the Wiregrass RC&D mural, Logan’s All Pro and Finish Line Tires back to the downtown square.
The route turns west on North Court Square and then south again past Happy Times back to Loose Brick Coffee.
